I know this is two years ago and nobody cares… lol… but this is a great example of an employer who is only looking at the short term and not interested in really progressing their business. If he’s not even willing to consider a non-standard piece of paper, how is he going to be willing to take time to hear out and consider a creative’s brilliant idea for their next big product/project?
I think it’s great if you throw out my resume for not being “regular”, I wouldn’t want to end up working for a mentality like yours, either.

wow disqus_68msBzvvoc you are tough……folks are trying to stand out from the crowd… especially when an ad says “creative” for a secretary who will be doing PP for the boss….how else does an applicant demonstrate extreme creativity as per your suggestion? this is a genuine ask, not a poke at your comments, thanks in advance

I indeed like the creativity put into these resumes, but many are industry specific for graphic designers. Maybe these types of resumes are appropriate for that industry, but as an employer in a professional office, most of these would get tossed aside as they require a few moments to decipher as they are far from traditional, and practical and moments count when Im going through hundreds of resumes. Although it would be a good move to have a standard size resume with the creative part on one side of the page as a sample of the creativity and a practical layout. If it cant fit in my legal letter size in-box like the rest of the hundred resumes… its next place to fit is the trash bin.
I wouldnt even l accept a road map sized resume or milk carton.
The girls t-shirt resume is cute, but can really only be done by a young girl with her type of figure. It’ll get attention at the door at a small business but a girl drawing attention to her chest will do that anyways… but Im already thinking of harassment issues brewing….
